Cloncaird Castle Estate

The best walk on the estate, in our opinion, is the river walk. Starting at the bottom of the lower pond outside the original stable block. You can then walk slightly up hill, with the fields to your left, on your right you will pass the three ponds with an area of decking at the top. Continue into the woods down a steep hill to the river. The path leads along the River Girvan and so we would like to remind guests to be careful walking close to the river and not to enter the water. The River Girvan is met by the Kelse Burn which you can cross or follow a more gentle route to the cottages. If you continue the walk this route will lead you to the entrance drive with areas of steep hills and steps along the way.
